Anyway my main thoughts on the film and Daniel Craig.... too much manly flesh and....PIERCE COME BACK, WE FOGIVE YOU FOR 'The Matador'.
Shouldn't really compare to previous ones, but it's natural......Not enough gadgets/car chases or John Cleese as Q. 30-40% darker and we see a different side to the Bond character which I guess is good. The 'Bond-girl' was well-chosen though, Eva Green played '
Vesper Lynd' and I would not say no to her being my wife!

Shelagh went to see it last night as well, and thourghly enjoyed it. I don't do cinema's as I get very cheesed off with people, so i have a nice tv and 5.1 bose sound and wait for the DVD.

Oh now. I thought Daniel Craig was amazing. You can't compare him to the other Bonds, because aside from looking different he acts different, he made Pierce look like a wuss. I love all the Bonds, actually, all for different reasons. And i love Daniel Craig.
I'd love to have seen a less censored version of Casino Royale. I'm gonna sound a bit twisted but whatever.. i think it would have been great if the torture scene went on for longer. I hate the restriction of the 12A certificate grrrr.
Hmmmmm yeah I can see why u said that. The scene when he's drugged, the shower scene and the torture one too were done well.... but could have gone further. It must have been difficult for you girls to watch when he was naked in that room..... what was with the guy ripping off the chair seat though..... to save bond's dignity?
You're soooo wrong though, Pierce is not a wuss.... he made Goldeneye into one of the best films and def. THE best Bond computer game ever (4 player Goldeney with Proximity mines..... Jolly Green Giant and I love playing that!). I thought Daniel was ever so slightly wooden, in places. Eva did no wrong though, Id love to meet her on a train sometime.
No no, Daniel Craig was not wooden. I think that was how it was supposed to be acted. This is a completely different Bond.
Pierce was no wuss. But i think they humanized Bond for Casino Royale, he got pain and he got beat up, this Bond actually got hurt, where as with Pierce and other Bonds, they never really got hurt, they would fight and come out pain free.
Really it was just an amazing film.
Oh... i've never played 'Goldeneye', i've got 'From Russia With Love' at home but i need my sisters boyfriend to move me onto the next level!
You REALLY need to be introduced to the world of 'Goldeneye'.
Fair valid points about Bond, I must concede. They'll have to continue the theme in next one though, Pierce's character was pretty fluent and consistent.
By the way, thats about as far as my Bond knowledge goes so don't really know what Im talking about!

On the Pierce issue - I think he's fab so it'll be interesting to see the difference!

There is only 1 true Jimmy B and that is Sean Connery. Roger was wooden, George was naff, Timothey Doulton was as wooden as Roger, Pierce was good and more natural. Not seen Danny boy yet.
Sean was excellent apart from that awful James Bond thing they made in 90's.
I disagree. I'm infact a Roger Moore fan. I thought he was a great Bond. All of the Bonds actually were really good for very different reasons. Not all of them are gonna step up and be a Sean Connery clone, and nor should they, they all offer something different and i respect them all.
Plus Timothy Dalton is a hottie in real life, according to my mother! lol!
