What's Gonna Happen?

So I've just got up at flippin 9am on a Saturday morning and already my brain is thinking about deep meaningful questions:

What happens at the end of 'time', do the true christians go to heaven, whaqt happens to everyone else? Does the world/our lives just stop, does God press the pause button while pointing at the earth?

Some of you will know I've read the 1st 2 of the 13-book LEFT BEHIND series, by Dr. Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins (http://http://www.leftbehind.com/), which start with 'The Rapture' whereby Jesus takes all of his true believers/followers to Heaven. There are links/usage of bits of the Bible book Revelation used but out of context. Below is an extract from the book website about 'The Rapture':

Actually, the word rapture isn't used much these days, but it would be fair to define it as an "exhilarating ecstasy." This is not the idea behind the word used to describe the day Christians will be instantaneously transformed—their mortal flesh will be turned into eternal bodies that will never die. These believers will be caught up in the clouds to meet their Lord, Jesus Christ, and remain with him forever. When believers speak of being raptured, however, they are not referring to the incomprehensible joy of being immediately in Christ's presence as well as being transformed into heavenly beings. Rather, in this context, rapture means "to be snatched away."The opposite of being raptured is to be left behind. The Bible says that believers will be left behind when Jesus raptures believers. Unbelievers are those who have rejected friendship with God by rejecting Jesus Christ, and they will be left in a world where there are no Christians anymore. This is the basis for the Left Behind series. (See 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Corinthians 15:50-58; John 14:1-3).

I've read through the book of Revelation (last book in the Bible for those of you who don't know..... !) but its not 100% clear, lots of numbers, scrols, angels, judgements, battles....yeh I summed that up pretty well!

Id welcome your comments/thoughts on this.

Anyway must brave the rain, shoppping to do then cleaning before the family Im staying with arrive home from Guernsey.

Its all Splendid and Tremendous.

Oh My life! Your brain is working too hard for a Saturday morning. The most mine thought was "mmmmmmmmmm cup of tea". I am still in my dressing Gown and considering getting dressed and drying my hair!! Oh well hope you manage to shop without drowning.

Dont get your brain in too many knots some things will only be answered when we get to heaven. :-)

If I could read what you have written I might comment, but you have dark purple writing against a blackground. Please see if you can change it and as Arni said "I'll be back"

Hi Chris,

I have read the book of Revalation; I have been to seminars on it; I have heard some quite eminant speakers talk on it saying many differnt things about how the End of time will be. Rev. Alan Pain summed it best by saying The Book of Revalation is a picture book and can be interprited in a billion ways, therefore be very careful about people who say they definatly know how to interpret The Book of Revatation.
