Whats going on with Football recently?

"It's a funny old game!"

But I think already this season is the most random yet, 3 weeks in and already the following bizarre occurances have occured:

• England score 9 goals in 2 games without conceding.... Peter Crouch gets 4 of those
• West Ham shock the world by signing Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano from Corinthians, arguably 2 of the best young footballers in the world right now signing for the Premierships 'other' claret and blue team!
• After 3 games the Premierships top scorers contain Villa's Juan Pablo Angel, an ex-WBA striker in Kanu, and Bobby Zamora...... BIZARRE!!
• Nottingham Forest, my 2nd fave team in the midlands, are 3 points clear at the top of League 1 (Formerly Division 2, the 3RD most important league in England) with only 2 goals conceded in 6 matches....although there was a flash of old-skool, they lost to Accrington Stanley in the Cup. WHO ARE THEY? I hear u ask!!
• I played football in Hyde Park and scored my 1st goal of any sort for over a year!
