Praise

Last week I read an amazing book entitled 'Prison to Praise', by Merlin Carothers (link should be attached). It's not a huge book so some of you out there (Jolly Green Giant, Robbie and maybe Rudolf) may find it an acceptable read!

What I got out of it is that we really should praise God for all things, there are many examples the author has used of things that we wouldn't even comprehend praising God for, but with faith we see God's purpose & reasoning unravel. It's really on my heart know to be thankful for all things, like right now I have a deadly strain of man-flu mixed with tube-flu, normally Id be annoyed at being ill but I know God's shwoing me I've been overdoing things the last week and not resting or spending time with him. There is meaning in all things, even sitting at a desk at McDonald's HQ (apparently??!!). Praise is amazing although its not until we step out in faith in the spirit that we experience the true wonder and power of praising our Father.

However I know some of the above may strike a nerve with many people, whilst I say I want to praise God for all things, there are some things I just don't see how I can praise him for. The loss of Mr FreeLanceNerd standing out as a prime example, with time it'll be right to understand this and to be able to praise God for his purpose here. For now though it's human weakness on my part, maybe Im happy to keep sailing on the calm waters going nowhere, afraid to brave the oceons!

Good for you being brave to post this C!
It is hard but you're right.
Go for the oceans - you're not steering -God is!
(although it may be best to chill out too sometimes!!)
